About Stancor Forgings
Stancor Forgings manufactures open and closed die forgings and seamless rolled rings in carbon, alloy, stainless, duplex and nickel alloy steels — shafts, discs, rings, blocks and blanks forged to a controlled reduction ratio, heat treated to the specified mechanical properties and ultrasonically tested before despatch.
Forged, Not Cut From Bar.
Machining a shaft out of bar cuts straight through the grain. Forging moves it, so the fibre follows the fillet, the flange and the tooth root. We forge to a recorded reduction ratio, heat treat to a charted cycle and ultrasonically test before anything is machined.
The Report Travels With the Part.
A forging is only as good as the evidence behind it. Every piece leaves with its heat number, the forging reduction, the furnace chart for the heat treatment, the ultrasonic report against the agreed acceptance class and the measured dimensions.
Our Products
- Open Die Forgings — Shafts, blocks, hollows and stepped shafts to 25 tonnes, upset and drawn on the press to a recorded reduction ratio.
- Seamless Rolled Rings — Rings to 2500 mm outside diameter, pierced and rolled so the grain runs circumferentially.
- Forged Discs, Blanks & Flange Blanks — Pancake and upset discs, flange, valve and tube sheet blanks, proof machined to your allowance.
- Closed Die Forgings — Die forged parts to drawing in repeat volumes, with die development and first article approval.
- Forged & Machined Shafts — Plain, stepped and flanged shafts in EN19, EN24 and stainless, finish machined with run-out measured.
- Forged Hollows & Sleeves — Trepanned and mandrel forged hollows, sleeves, bushes and cylinder bodies with bore UT.
